Description of Story

Take a three-thousand mile journey with Amanda Pearson as she leaves the disgrace of a broken engagement and enters the work of a Quaker mission in the western wilds. The trip is fraught with danger, and Amanda is near death before reaching her destination. Among those she meets are an Indian woman who becomes her first convert and a half-Indian trapper who seems to be her biggest critic. But love follows her into the wilderness and will determine the course of her future. You are sure to enjoy this historical romance adventure from New York Times bestselling author Wanda E. Brunstetter.

My Book Review

This is the first Historical Book that I have read by Wanda Brunstetter. I usually read her Amish books, but decided to give this one a try. This book is such a GREAT book, I couldn’t hardly put it down. I love Wanda’s writing style and she just grabs you and you are hooked.
As the story goes, this book is about Amanda Pearson. Amanda is jilted on the day of her wedding, so Amanda and her father decide to go to join the; Spalding Mission in Oregon. Now, take in mind, they live in New York, this is quite a journey in itself. Amanda goes through so much during this journey and she meets some really good people. She took ill and that is when Buck McFadden finds her and takes her and her belongings to the Jim Breck cabin and that is where she becomes really good friends with Mary Breck, who is Indian.

I am not going to say anyting else or I will spoil it for you. There are so many things that happen, you will just have to experience them yourself. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I have.

I will definitely suggest this book to my friends and family.
