A Beauty Refined by Tracie Peterson

This book was supplied to me by Bethany House Publishing in exchange for a Review.

 Description of Story

Phoebe Von Bergen is excited to accompany her father when he travels from Germany to purchase sapphires in Montana. Little does she know that her father’s plans–for the gemstones and his daughter–are not what they seem.

Ian Harper, a lapidary working in Helena, finds the young woman staying at the Broadwater Hotel more than a little intriguing. Yet the more he gets to know her, the more he realizes that her family story is based on a lie–a lie she has no knowledge of. And Ian believes he knows the only path that will lead her to freedom.

Meeting Ian has changed everything. Phoebe is determined to stay in America, regardless of her father’s plans. But she may not be prepared for the unexpected danger as the deception begins to unravel. This is the second book in the “Bailey Flanigan Series” by Karen Kingsbury.  I have read almost all of Karen’s books and they are GREAT.  This book is no exception, it was so good, I have had a hard time putting it down.  Bailey Flanigan is now in New York City and on the cast of “Hairspray” and she has to go through a lot of issues, I really felt sorry for her that this had to happen to her.

My Review

This book is the 2nd book in Sapphire Brides Series.  This book is one of the greatest books I have ready by Tracie Peterson.

The story starts with Phoebe Von Bergen traveling with her father from Germany  to America.  They arrive in Helena Montana.  Phoebe was told that her mother was dead but she is really surprised when she runs into her at the hotel she is staying.  In the meantime, she meets with her mother and they become pretty close.  She also learns she has another member of her family and I won’t say anymore about that.  Then, Phoebe falls for a guy and doesn’t expect this at all.  Her father wants Phoebe to marry an old Duke but she doesn’t want that and then she experiences the wrath from her father.

I just love how Tracie tells her stories.  She is just GREAT.  I am not going to say anything more about this book or I will give a lot away about it.

I would suggest this book and this series to my friends and family.  Again, it is just GREAT, I couldn’t hardly put this book down.  Wonderful story.  Thank you Tracie Peterson for giving us such a GREAT book.
